DCFW: Sera Vero Nik Fall 2016

If you are lover of Washington, DC and its historical scenery, then you will love the Fall 2016 Sera Vero Nik collection by Fruwah Boma Chapman. Inspired by the Washington Monument and the DC Metro, the vibrant colors and eye catching patterns, are simply one of a kind. With a deep rooted family  connection imbedded in its name, Sera Vero Nik’s fall 2016 line is perfect for the Mommy attending formal and semi formal events and is in need of something other than her little black dress. Fruwah kept the modern day mommy in mind, as she incorporated pockets in many of her designs. She states “I hate carrying purses. First of all as a single woman I hated that. Then as a mom I equally hate that because then I have to focus on carrying my baby, and the diaper bag. So it’s so easy to have your credit cards in your pocket, or cash in your pocket and not have to worry about carrying a lot of things out. As a mom, also I have to be aware of my body, so I am a little more conservative with my designs. Althought it’s still kind of form fitting, you can watch your weight at the same time. Very beautiful.” Considering the every day mom and her needs, the Sero Vero Nik collection was one of my favorite of DC Fashion Week. Below are some of my favorite looks from the collection.
